It’s not everyday that you come across a composer that’s known as “the god of arms”. Afro French composer Chevalier de Saint- Georges was a public figure, a preeminent fencing champion, gifted violinist and composer. Over time, Sainte- Georges’s mastery of the arts earned him the position Gentleman of the King’s chamber for King Louis XV.
